Two more pregnant women confirmed with Zika

The Health Ministry is reporting that two more pregnant women have been confirmed with the Zika virus.

The revelation was made by Dr Winston De La Haye, acting Chief Medical Officer during a conference in St Lucia. This now brings the confirmed cases involving pregnant women to four.

The Health official revealed that the women have since been referred to a high-risk clinic.

Jamaica’s total number of confirmed cases of  Zika has now increased to 24, with an approximately 1,788 suspected cases.
