Teacher, parent involved in stabbing and shooting incident at St Andrew High

A teacher and a parent are now in hospital following a stabbing and shooting incident at the St Andrew High School for Girls on Tuesday.

According to reports, an altercation between a teacher and a parent, who is a security manager, developed after a school leaving ceremony for sixth formers.

During the brawl the teacher reportedly used a knife to stab the parent, who retaliated by pulling for his firearm and shot the teacher.

Reports are that both men are now in hospital, and neither has been charged by the police.
