Soldier and Principal in Manchester murder-suicide

The police have confirmed a murder-suicide, which occurred in the Hope Village district of Williamsfield in Manchester yesterday, involving a Jamaica Defence Force soldier and a principal.

According to the Jamaica Star, the bodies of JDF member John Williams, 42, and Gail Anderson, 42, principal of the Hope Village Early Childhood Institution were found at approximately 3:40 p.m. with gunshot wounds to the head.

Reports are that a licensed firearm was also recovered from the scene, which was still being processed up to news time.

Residents heard loud explosions and summoned the police.
