Residents stage protest after police kill four in Old Harbour Bay

Residents in Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine have staged a massive protest following the killings of four men by the police on Tuesday.

According to the Corporate Communications Unit, the four men were shot and killed, and three firearms recovered during a confrontation between the Police and a group of men in Old Harbour Bay.

Residents have however disputed these claims, saying the men were innocently killed. Large crowds have taken to the streets in protest, setting ablaze to at least one vehicle.

The incident is being investigated by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
