Prisoner stabbed to death while in St Elizabeth lock-up

A investigation has been opened following the stabbing death of a male prisoner, who died while in lock-up at the Black River Police Station on Tuesday.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) are now investigating the death of the male prisoner, who was reportedly found unresponsive in his cell with apparent stab wounds.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Roshane Baker of Lacovia, in the parish and a Golden Heights address in Denham Town, Kingston 14. He was reportedly charged with murder.

A prob has been opened by the Inspectorate of the Constabulary and Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
