Police seize nine firearms in St James

The St James police are reporting the seizure of nine illegal firearms during a joint police/military operation over the weekend.

According to Marlon Nesbeth, superintendent in charge of the St James Police Division, a total of nine firearms were recovered and five persons arrested, two in connection with the gun finds.

The superintendent has declared that his task force will be taking aim at criminals who are involved in the lottery scam trade, as the guns are usually tied to the deadly scheme.

Cops have asked citizens to assist them with information, as they seek to bring back law and order to the second city.
