Dancehall artiste Konshens is seemingly lost for words after getting the horrific news that his older brother Delus committed suicide.
Delus, real name Delmark Spence’s body was discovered on Wednesday afternoon in a bathroom at his home in Kingston after he allegedly shot himself.
On Thursday, Konshens, real name Garfield Spence, posted a photo of his daughter and niece (Delus’ daughter) on social media.
Although no caption was made, hundreds of deejay’s fans sent their condolences to him and his family.
“Don’t have words to express how I feel right now @konshensnewgovz@delusdj will always have a place in my heart…and his music will live on.. prayers to the family and the kids to help go through this hard time… both his daughter and yours have a beautiful smile and I know His life will shine through his children… bless…,” One fans commented.
Another posted, “Seeing this little girl tears come to my eyes. SMH… Only god knows why and what? @konshensnewgovz stay strong and faith in everything. R. I. P #delus😱😱.”
Other comments included, “Mighty God comfort these two beautiful girls , put them under your wings for shield & guidance .Grant them peace in there heart as they trad along life journey without there strongman (Father) . 😔😢🙏🏽🌷💐 RIH , prayers go up to family.”
While others shared their theory of the reported suicide, “Sumn no right yaso he was very happy on his bday n plan to spend da ole month enjoying it!! N now him dead n dem a seh him kill self!! Mi no buy dat anybody weh did with him need fi get a serious check!! Smh sigh! :(.”
Konshens and Delus first emerged on the dancehall scene in the mid 2000s under the group name Sojah. Their first hit was “Medz Pon Di Corner” released under the Cash Flow label in 2004 and became a No. 1 single in Japan.
