IMPACT OF TAX ON ELECTRICITY-JPS CAN”T BE DETERMINED AS YET

President and CEO of JPS, Kelly Tomlin, says it is too early to determine if the tax imposed on Liquefied Natural Gas -LNG-, and heavy fuel, will impact electricity bills.
Miss Tomlin said, the J-P-S will be in discussion with the Ministers of Finance and Energy, to find out how the tax plan will be implemented.
Miss Tomlin says, L-N-G will not be introduced in Jamaica until August, therefore it will not be reflected in electricity bills before then.
