Holy Childhood student dies after contracting dengue fever

A 16-year-old student from Holy Childhood High in St Andrew, has died after complications from contracting dengue fever.

The child, who’s name is Christagay Buchanan, was an only child, and originated from Portmore, St Cathrine.

Family, teachers and fellow students were left distraught after learning that she had tragically passed away last Friday June 10.

Reports are that the fourth form student, Christagay Buchanan, who suffers from Sickle-cell anaemia, died after she developed complications from being infected with dengue fever.
